Dear DotAsia community,

I have just concluded my final (AGM) meeting as the Board Chair and as a Board member of Dot Asia. After my six years of service on the Board, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for being so supportive of DotAsia and for their tireless efforts that the Board and staff have given to making DotAsia a successful registry within the Pan-Asia and Asia Pacific region.

Since my arrival onto the Board following the 2016 elections I have met and worked with some wonderful people who have truly had the well-being and success of DotAsia at heart. Their contributions to the decision-making that has built DotAsia into a model registry has been both appreciated and valued. The feedback and good wishes from DotAsia Sponsor members and Advisory Council members with whom DotAsia has regularly worked, have attested to that.

As the outgoing Board Chair, I send special thanks to my Executive Committee colleagues, Satish Babu, Ellen Strickland and Santanu Acharya for their commitment and contribution to their Board committee responsibilities. Also to Nicole Chan and Kashif Adeel for their regular attendance of Board and Board committee meetings, despite their own busy day-job schedules. I also send special greetings to all those wonderful former Board members with whom I worked over all those years.

I am sure that I will be able to meet many of you again in the future at an event which DotAsia will probably be sponsoring somewhere within the region - when we can resume face-to-face events. Fingers crossed that this will not be too far away. Most importantly I hope that the DotAsia Board and Organisation will continue building on its successes of the past, and enhancing their relationships with both past and prospective partners, and that you, the DotAsia Community will continue to support them and the DotAsia domain. I wish you all the best for the future.
